Motherhood is a balancing act, particularly when you throw working into the mix. How can we "do it all" and keep our sanity. Come get support for those issues that come with trying to juggle motherhood, work and breastfeeding.

Attachment Parenting International (API) Group
Meets the fourth Friday of each month at 10:30 am
The East Portland, Oregon Chapter of Attachment Parenting International offers fellowship and support in the practice of attachment parenting. Anyone interested in any aspect of AP is welcome—we recognize that not all facets of attachment parenting work for every family. Adults and children of any age are invited to this free meeting to share our experiences and learn from each other.
The Eight Principles of attachment parenting, as set out by API, are:
- Prepare for Pregnancy, Birth, and Parenting
- Feed with Love and Respect
- Respond with Sensitivity
- Use Nurturing Touch
- Engage in Nighttime Parenting
- Provide Consistent and Loving Care
- Practice Positive Discipline
- Strive for Balance in Personal and Family Life
Group Support for Depression and Anxiety in Pregnancy and Postpartum
Baby Blues Connection offers a weekly group free of charge for women struggling with depression and anxiety symptoms during pregnancy and postpartum. The group is run by women who have themselves recovered from a perinatal mood disorder and can offer resources, coping tools, an open heart, and most importantly, hope. Baby Blues Connection is a non-profit organization providing support to mothers for the past 12 years.
