Q. If breastfeeding is so important, so much healthier than alternatives, and has such a big impact on public health and wellness, how come there isn't more support, information, and education regarding the importance of breastfeeding?

Although breastfeeding initiation rates are on the rise, many women give up on breastfeeding when they encounter problems and do not find the support they need to overcome those problems.
